2014 we were very humbled with the support of our community to make The Burger King Breast Cancer Awareness Truck an Tractor Pull a great success! Mother Nature an the rain made us have to reschedule the pull at the last minute we put it on the following weekend. We still had a great turn out an we were able to donate $ 30,802.51 to Susan G Komen. We are so ecstatic with what we as a group have accomplished our first year 2012 final Donation $14,125.00 an our second year 2013 was $19,365.27. We know this would not be possible without you an our community.
Cancer spares no one's heart; but can not take away anyone's Faith!
Cancer is such a horrible disease that affects so many lives. Statistics show Ky is the number one state with the highest incidence of cancer. Isn't that a scary fact!!! I am sure you all know why The Hornback's fight hard to support Susan G Komen. Tim's wife Carolyn was diagnosed in 1999 with breast cancer. She was cancer free for 11 years an then Carolyn's breast cancer metastasized. Carolyn is such a wonderful loving lady who is definitely giving cancer a fight. Her favorite quote is Don't Count the days Make the Days Count!! She truly lives by that quote. Our sister Helen has also survived breast cancer an has been cancer free since 2003. We lost our mom & dad to cancer, Brent still continues to fight lymphoma an Connie has been cancer free since 2013. So we believe in check ups an prayers to find a cure!!! We have lost numerous loved ones to cancer just like many of you. So hopefully with your support we can help Susan G Komen make a difference in someone's life.
